Points of View: bringing order to the chaos, one word at a time.

I’m Barrie Kreinik, a writer and performer based in New York City, and the way I make sense of the world we live in is by writing.

This Substack is both a continuation and a transformation of the blog I wrote for five years on my website, barriekreinik.com. A continuation because I will carry on exploring topics that interest me in a form located at the intersection of memoir and opinion. A transformation because I plan to write shorter, more frequent posts here on Substack, in the hope of inviting comment and conversation.

My goal is to bring a bit of order to the chaos of our world by sharing stories, observations, opinions, and ideas designed to inspire, inform, invigorate, and above all, amuse you.

Topics will include social issues, politics, feminism, writing, the arts, travel, and modern American life. In short: all the the things that interest me, which I hope will interest you as well.
